In 2013, our founder, Wale Fakile was on a mission—to find the perfect bespoke shoe for his sister’s wedding. However, every cobbler he approached had prices far beyond reach. A passionate shoe lover himself, Wale saw the gap between luxury and affordability in the fashion industry and decided to change the narrative.
By 2016, Rach. Gabriels Fashion Company was born, built on the belief that elegance shouldn’t come with an overwhelming price tag. Today, we continue to provide premium, handcrafted, and stylish footwear that merges sophistication with affordability.
In 2021, we decided to spread our tentacles and started creating custom-made 2 piece male garments. Our first line of designs was called ‘Safari by Rach. Gabriels.’
With a growing community of fashion-conscious individuals, we have expanded our impact beyond just selling shoes and Safaris—we are shaping lives through empowerment and skill development.
At Rach. Gabriels, we believe that high-quality fashion should be within everyone’s reach. Our approach focuses on:
Each pair of shoes is made with precision and superior materials.
Luxury doesn’t have to be expensive. Our pricing model ensures you get premium footwear at a fraction of the cost.
Through initiatives like Project Centum, we are equipping young Nigerians with the skills to create and sell high-quality shoes, fostering economic empowerment.
Project Centum is an innovative initiative by Rach. Gabriels Fashion Company aimed at training and empowering 100 young Nigerians in shoemaking and entrepreneurship every year. This program provides out-of-school youth with hands-on training, mentorship, and market integration support to build successful careers in the fashion and footwear industry.
Nigeria faces high unemployment rates, especially among young people. Many have the talent and passion for fashion but lack the skills and resources to turn their aspirations into reality. Project Centum is designed to change this by offering:
We identify promising young talents and equip them with practical shoemaking and business skills.
Trainees are connected with experienced mentors and given opportunities to gain hands-on experience in the industry.
Graduates receive support to launch their own brands, secure jobs, or collaborate with leading fashion houses.
Over the next five years, we will train 500 young Nigerians the art of shoemaking and replicate our model across other crafts like garment making and design, woodworking, filming etc.
Be part of the Rach. Gabriels community—whether as a customer, partner, or supporter of Project Centum. Together, we can make luxury accessible, create opportunities, and empower the next generation of Nigerian shoemakers.
